#slightly in love with the silhouette of the ever-present stag at her back #because obsessed with the idea that cersei reclaims robert’s words as her own #’ours is the fury’ being as apt a motto for her as ‘hear me roar’ #in fact i think her ‘what of my wrath’ line is meant to be riff off the words of her husband’s house #because robert stumbles into her life; fists swinging war hammer singing #and imprints a direct record of his rage on her skin #and i think what galls most - more than the infidelity or even the violence #is the idea that she should remain silent beneath the strain #that her rage her desire her sorrow is secondary to his #and so she takes his words and adopts them as her own personal battle cry #tears up lines of succession by their roots and forges a war in the shape of her fury #literally forces the nation to acknowledge that her rage is as potent and destructive a force as any man’s #this seductress-soldier rebel queen i s2g #a master class in crafting perfect villains

whoistorule:

One of the most interesting things to me about Cersei textually is how much of a misogynist she is.  Other than herself, who she views as the equal of Jaime (and thus of a man), and Myrcella, who she views as an extension of herself, Cersei really hates the women around her.  She thinks they’re sheep and weaklings and that she, by being the equal of Jaime, is thus better than them.

There are no women like Cersei, there’s only Cersei.

“Aphrodite bled on the field. I see no good in being a goddess if a man can strike you down so easily.”

R. 10K. Did you wake up this morning thinking “What this fandom needs is a ten-thousand-word Cersei-centric epistolary Victorian pastiche AU with bondage and crazy-effusive Classical discourse?” Well, here is JUST THAT. It is a little Sacher-Masoch and a little Liaisons Dangereuses and 100% pulp and very committedly ridiculous. I did it for you. (OK, mostly for me.)

actually in love with lena headey’s everything, i mean show cersei and book cersei are entirely different creatures, but sometimes the scripts allow her to lose her control and you can see the wildfire of book cersei, and it’s beautiful, she’s clinging on to control with claws for hands and nails and teeth, and she will not give it up, because she doesn’t know how to rule out of love or compassion or humanity, she only knows that power is fear and blood, power is when the people fear your retribution more than your enemy, power is ruling by pure brutal ruthless lannister might, and that is the only power cersei has or ever will have, perfect queen, cersei
